Carmel Valley Nail Lounge is a beautiful salon with large picture windows and a peaceful atmosphere, especially during quieter times of the day. I appreciated the complimentary tea, and the nail technicians were always friendly and generally competent. My frustration centered on color matching. I typically get regular polish on my toes and gel polish on my fingernails, and I repeatedly encountered confusion when trying to match the colors. It’s embarrassing that nail technicians check their tips and talk to each other belittling people tipping them too little. The other technician was doing my nails when her friend was bashing on somebody tipping her very little, which was not little at all. They made me so uncomfortable. I almost melted in my chair. I don’t believe Tips should be required at all for the Behavior like that tip tips are for people who appreciate gratuity not expect gratuity for doing a half assed job. I was in the area on business for an event and I needed a gel fill and change of polish. Did a quick search for somewhere near by and I'm glad I did because Casey was great! Turned out better than I expected and they have an extensive color selection.
Consistently great nail salon. They're very clean and use new tools and towels. They wipe down the chairs after every person. Sandy and Lisa are great techs, as are the other techs that they have there. I'm always very satisfied with my nails afterward.
They Treated me very poorly , didn’t ask if I wanted water or anything but asked every other person in there if they would like something to drink. I asked for French tip and asked for sally and they put me with someone else but I booked with sally . The lady that did my nails did such a horrible job she put bigger nails on my fingers . I asked for acrylic and they were fighting me on it . She told me $107, 0h no it’s $117 or no I’m wrong it’s $128 I said okay , I will pay . She kept changing the price !
