After being a customer of CarMax for over 20+ years, I can no longer support them and need to spread the word. Please do not go to CarMax for a vehicle. Reference my Sterling, VA review for a full idea of why. And Do NOT purchase the extended warranty as CarMax Plus or whatever it is now is a variety of 3rd party companies that CarMax wipes clean of their reliability and doesn't tell you it's not them that provides this warranty in the purchasing of the vehicle. DO NOT GO TO CARMAX.
This is not the place I would recommend. Rude staff made me wait. Asked why the place looked so bad, they are remodeling. Understaffed and dingy. Makes me regret paying for Max-care. Service is not open on the weekends and they charge a 100$ diage fee right off the bat. Max care doesn't cover whare and tare. So I payed my own mechanic to replace the brakes and router on a vehicle I just bought 4 months ago.
We worked with David Strauss. Through the whole process we felt informed, relaxed and not pressured at all. This experience with David was the most fun and chill car buying experience we’ve ever had. We did not end up purchasing a vehicle this time, but we will definitely be back to work with David when we do. We hate the car buying process but David totally changed the experience for us. Great experience all around.
