If I could give 0 stars I would! I bought a van in February. They claim they do a 125+ point inspection and stand behind all theor vehicles they sell. A week later things started going wrong with it. We returned it and waited a month in order to purchase a new vehicle from them. Owned the new car for 60 days and the transmission went out. Carmax disappointed us today with dismal effort at customer service. They get one star only because zero is not an option. A young man greeted us and told us the wait would be about 30 minutes. 40 minutes later, another man wandered through the waiting room and mentioned they may not actually have anyone to help us. I test drove a good 2023 Nissan Altima S at this location and reached out the next day to schedule an on-site prepurchase inspection (PPI) by a mobile mechanic prior to buying the car. Even though this PPI would have been at my cost and using CarMax's lift, CarMax refused to allow it. A CarMax employee stated that they do not permit a full PPI, only an external inspection. Hearing this, I went with another used car dealership in Madison who allowed a full on-site PPI.
