Great car buying experience. Straight forward. No dance around.
Not bad experience. No pressure to make any decision. Just really slow processing. Better than going to a traditional dealer imo.
I went to CarMax because my son had a good experience selling his car there. Before I got there I was offered $20,000 online and the offer had not expired. The car was inspected and driven. No issues were found. When I was told the payment offer, it was now $18,400 and I was very disappointed! I did an online search about CarMax and read that you typically offer more online and lower it substantially at the purchase. I will never do business with CarMax again.
Carmax was one of the best car dealer experiences I’ve ever had buying and selling cars. I sold a few cars here and the employees were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They made the process very, very easy and time efficient. The prices they offered were fair. I could’ve gotten a little bit more money selling private party, but it’s just not worth the hassle selling six cars. It was simply a great experience overall.
