Update 5/30/25-I trusted my gut and got a second opinion. My new dr was kind, caring, professional, and LISTENED to me. She did an ACTUAL breathing test (not the short version they tried to get away with here) and a mobility/oxygen saturation test and took a detailed history of my symptoms including asking what irritants I may be exposed to that may be exacerbating my symptoms. Before we had personal experience with Dr Picone, we were aware that our son, who lived out of town, had seen him on a few occasions when he needed medical care while visiting us. And he liked Dr. Picone a lot. So, when our long-time doctor retired, we chose Dr. Picone as our primary care physician. It was a good decision. Very attentive and focused practice. Dr. Picone is always available and we rely on him often. I cannot recommend him more highly.
Takes time to explain, very patient, accessible, easy to talk to.
Dr. Picone was able to see me immediately at his Sibley office when I was having some chest pain. He assisted me in connecting with a surgeon when I needed to have my knees replaced and visited me regularly when I was hospitalized and in recovery. He has recently relocated his office and staff to a medical building in Chevy Chase, Maryland, very near Suburban hospital there.
