My Mother was cared for by Caretenders hospice for a month. I am so grateful for the care and support she received. The Care team was professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to her needs. I would seriously consider other hospice companies before choosing this one. We hired care tenders for my mom after she had a stroke. From day one, we were chasing this company to get them to do their job. Upon admission, my mom wasn’t marked as “active” and we had to call to get that fixed as we couldn’t get her medications filled. Our nurse was a nice lady but never documented her visits in the book hospice gives the family for such purposes. We had to tell the nurse to order us a hospital bed, a wheel chair and oxygen. My mom was in hospice with Caretenders. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the care she received. The support from the nurses was amazing, offering much guidance and knowledge in the whole process and progression of my mom disease, Parkinson’s. The other supports from social work and pastoral care were also comforting in this difficult time for our family.
Caretenders was everything you would want a hospice service to be for this critical time of life. Cristina and her team have the experience and honest-to-goodness concern that you need in this situation. They saw everything coming long before I ever would have.
