Over the weekend, somehow I picked up an infection in my right eye. I thought it might be pink eye, although my eyeball wasn’t actually pink lol — my eyelid and the area around my eye were swollen and red. I looked on Google for the closest CareSpot, as I had been to one maybe once before in the past. From calling and actually getting through to a live person without going through multiple menus, to the very helpful receptionist when I arrived, it was a great experience. Had finger cellulitis and they prescribed amoxicillin, which didn't treat the condition and gave me 101f fever for 3 days. Went back to be re-assessed and all they told me was to go to ER. That's $60 down the drainage. Had to go to ER when fever continued into day 4 and the doctor said amoxicillin wasn't the right medicine. Got prescribed a different antibiotic and fever went away immediately. Cellulitis improved overnight as well.
