Poor customer service. I ordered wings last night by calling in. The young lady took my name and phone number. I got dressed, went out in the nippy weather and they said "oh we were out of wings". Really? On a Saturday night? When I asked why no one bothered to call she said I only gave my name. I was furious. This is why a lot of black businesses fail.
A Must Try!. I always start off with their wings and conch fritters. Both are so good that I can't pick just one. The portions are so big that I usually leave with a lot of food. I also always order either the goat curry or the ox tail. This with their rice and cabbage is a great meal that really has a unique taste that you have to experience to do justice. It is almost like a cross between Thai food, Indian and Spanish. We go there often for lunch and have never been let down.
Graet food!!!! Very poor customer service several visits there dine in and cary out. Customer saticfaction should and always begin with Quality customer service. In the end you'll always have a returning happy customer. Rule #1 customers are always right!!!!
Conch Fritters!!. Great conch fritters!! I have made several special trips to pick them up and bring them home!
Ox tail. Absolutely loved it. Passed it by a million times and never thought of eating here. Finally decided to and would definitely come again. Ordered the Conch fritters, absolutely great. The ox tail was awesome also. They could probably use another waitress. Really good crowd. Too bad I was too full and didn't get a chance to eat a beef patty. I guess I can order it to go this weekend.
Wonderful. Went there with a lunch group and we were all very happy with our meals. The Jerk Chicken was so good...I'll definately be back. I will say it was a little slow but there was only one waitress helping the whole restaurant...she did pretty good considering they were pretty busy. Here's a tip...go to thier website and sign on for updates. Each monday I get coupons and it makes it much more reasonable for lunch. I could have easily split the chicken too with a friend...lots of food!
The best jamacian food on the south side also try the mid n chip it's so refreshing
Don't miss this spot!. Fantastic jerk chicken (spicy, moist), divine conch fritters and more served by especially friendly, helpful waitstaff. Rice and peas that come w/ the chicken also very good. The chicken goes well w/ a Red Stripe. Someone who wants something not spicy might enjoy quesadillas, pizzas. The steak w/ butter and garlic was very good too, but a bit too salty for my tastes.
Great lunch. I just got back from lunch at Carena's. I had the lunch portion of the Jerk Chicken and shared a small order of their chicken wings. The food was great, but maybe a little pricey for lunch. My meal was over 10 dollars. The person I went with had the 6.95 lunch special, which was very good. Everything seemed very authentic, and tasted awesome.
