Very unethical and unprofessional company! I should have checked the local reviews rather than the corporate reviews before hiring. If you are planning to deal with this company I will set your expectations: * Call outs or no shows are common- and they don't even bother to tell you no one is coming out. *They will auto bill your credit card for time they did NOT work on a daily basis, sometimes by minutes and other times by hours. I personally dont know what to say. I started off in the Staunton/Charlottesville offices a period of years ago and never had a problem with the company and got along with everyone. Back a couple years ago moved down south and thats where the problems began and just over time has gotten worse. The offices harley answer the phones. no support for the staff and no benifits. no pay raises. no sick leave. no insurance. no nothing. If you loose a client your screwd if your a male staff member. They don’t even deserve a one star. I’m saddened to learn this is still going on to families. I used to work for this company over a year ago. I still hear stories of people getting charged for nurses not showing up. It wasn’t enough for them to not pay there employees there wages but to go as far as taking advantage of families during there moments of needing care and compassion. It’s such a shame there is a company that is this greedy to take advantage of families in need. I hope this gets in the hands of the right person ... read more
This company needs to be seriously investigated. I have been unable to get in touch with anyone at the Wytheville Office and my dad has been home 3 weeks. You are never notified if your worker will be there or not be there.... your phone calls are never returned... no texts no emails NO communication from the clinical supervisors at all. I have received 3 bills from the company each have had hours billed where no one was here working.... Like the whole entire 12 hr shift billed to you... One more thing I'm going to add. I think they need someone else in that with wythville office that has better people skills. Kala does not have what it takes to be in that position. I know for fact when I used a home health company to take care of one of my family members I was in charge of coordination of that. In the office I always saw a Manager, scheduler, and employee recruiter payroll lady Registered Nurse this was with a company in Galax.
