Been on a waiting list for almost 3 yrs for Services for both my autistic children with no real help here for them services are limited to non at all.. something needs to be done for mental health care on nc.

Son’s been on the waiver waiting list for almost 8 years. He’s turning 21 soon. Was told he’ll be on the waiting list a few more years. It’s the craziest thing for a parent/caretaker to be told. I’m dumbfounded.

This organization is a local and area wide LME for Mental Health Services. They have many aspects to what they do for the people they serve. Unfortunately paying contractors and providers who bill them for services for people with Mental Disabilities is not one of their priorities. This is both disgraceful and unacceptable. It leads to quality and caring people not wanting to work with those with disabilities do to slow payment (could be months) or non payment for accepted billable services. they are horrible they will not help you with housing when homeless but my care coordinator chris peters is actually pretty good at helping and caring about people
