Closed – Clicking through to the website shows an announcement that CapuVino has closed "due to the downturn in the economy". Another one bites the dust.
Lots of friendly neighborhood people – This is a great example of great concept, but poor execution. The coffee is great, and the wine selection is good for a reasonably priced by the glass sampling (nothing high-end). The bar is understaffed and cranky sometimes. I have left because it is taking too long to get served. Most nights, no issues - just a cozy spot for coffee and dessert.
Friendly spot for coffee, cocktails, snack or meal – I love this place! Order a coffee without having to learn Starbuck-speak, pick one from the menu or create your own - they won't sneer at you for a special order - and whatever you order, it'll be yummy. Choose a decadent baked good treat, or go for the healthy granola parfait. Many crepe options, and they're made right before your eyes. Hard to resist the turkey/bacon panini at lunchtime! Yucky - DON'T GO THERE!!! – I went there with my fiance at 7pm on a Friday night for dessert...and it made our night take a turn for the worst! When we walked in, the place was dead, and still it was 5 minutes before either of the ladies behind the counter helped us. NEVER AGAIN... – My wife and I chose to eat at CapuVino for some Friday night dessert and coffee. We had passed by it several times on our way to and from Washington Park. the Best Happy Hour in TOWN !!! – this is the best thing that has happened to bonnie brae. I didn't know about it before, but now that I do, I'm definitely taking advantage! They have my fav New Belgium beers for 2.50 a pint and 10 different selections of wine for only 3 bucks a glass! Everyone knows about it's good coffee, but I think this is an up and coming place for the evening. "Viva Capuvino~!"
Snooty Service – I'm a nursing student who has been studying at CapuVino about once a week for several months now. Sometimes I order a sandwitch for dinner and sometimes I just drink coffee or have a glass of wine. Tonight my classmate and I were informed by the owner that we can no longer use the "big tables" (tables that seat three people) during the "dinner rush." I was completely shocked by his audacity! Capuvino the revival – For those of you who have only negative things to say. "GET A LIFE this place ROCKS! They have a selection of wines that you can't get anywhere else. Lets not for get their chocolates made exclusively for them. You really need to try them! The food is awesome and best of all it doesnt break the bank. They have a great menu! Free internet and a good vibe rounds off the experience. Its a wonderful place! VIVA CAPUVINO!
