Captain's Table The Captain's Table is a pretty nice place to eat and you get a lot of food. They really over fry the crab cakes though. Rather than doing them in a pan they must deep fry them. I recommend getting it baked!

I had the oyster basket - the oysters were perfectly breaded and tasty and my husband had the Reuben. Very good food!
The waitress was good. The food was good. The hush puppies were out of this world. I will definitely eat there again. Very responsible priced.

We have been coming to Buxton since 1983. We have always frequented this restaurant, even back when it was Tides and then Captain's Table through last year. We made it our first dining spot this year and we could not have been more disappointed. Two in our party got meals with scallops and we were all completely shocked to see teeny, tiny bay scallops...not sea scallops...and they were very overcooked. The crab cakes were full of filler and had an almost green/yellow tint to them. Unfortunately, we won't be going back. 😒
The best tasting flounder I have had in a long while great service
The food is outstanding! Service also way above average. Huge portions and reasonably priced.
