Captain Rod’s was born in our home basement in McHenry, Illinois 15 years ago. From the beginning, the business has been a family affair (with the added support of our neighbor, like family to us). “Captain” Rod Shuh and cousin John Shuh started the business on their own with just one barge to work with. RecommendedI can’t say enough good things about the crew at Captain Rod’s. They went above and beyond making sure my boat and lift were safe and secure. Even when I screwed up and left the boat on the lift, they got creative and adjusted it to perfection. I’ll never go anywhere else. Thanks again for making it a worry free summer of boating.

Rodney is one of the most unpleasant individuals I have ever interacted with. He ran my car off the road and proceeded to flee. I was able to stop him, but he sat in his truck laughing at me. I almost died. He showed no remorse. Police arrived, showing extreme unprofessionalism. Officer Lawrence Popp proceeded to make a racist remark at me, and minutes after I see officer Popp and Rodney giggling like little school girls.
