Today 12-5-14 I had 2 proceedures in the GI part of the hospital. I am here to tell you I have never been treated with so much respect and care. From the minute I walk through the doors I was greeted with a good morning and a well meant hello. The nurses and service employees are an outstanding group of people. So went for a Dr's appointment to get a comprehensive exam. Tell me how a veterans affairs Dr doesn't know what an IED is. Also explain why there wasn't much of an exam and more of my personal and social history minus the Dr checking my breathing. Does the VA actually even remotely care about veterans or is it a ruse to stay open. I don't know but this place is the absolute worst place to get medical help from when you actually need it. I rate the FHCC with a five star rating. Serving one vet at a time. I LOVE MY JOB AND MEETING VETERAN'S FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD. No other VA in the country can touch this facility. North Chicago AKA Downey. Always Proud to Care.
