At our Murray, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

As someone who works in customer service, I am beyond disappointed in the service that I just experienced. When I first pulled up, the worker sounded as if she did not want to take my order. I was advised to wait in which I did. Once the worker answered, she had the same negative and bothered sound in her voice. Unfortunately, I experienced issues with being able to hear her on the intercom which seemed to only irritate her more. I only get drive through, but the food is good.
On July 24th, 2025. I went to the back drive through to place a order. I waited 10 minutes. Drive back & Forth, no answer. So drove around the building twice. Still no answer! There was 2 other cars behind me they drove off. So I drove around to pickup window. The person had her back me playing on her cellphone. So I honk the horn. I ask her why she wasn’t answering the intercom. “ oh it’s broke” there is NO NOTE ON THE SPEAKER” and I told her that. She never apologized. I placed my order.
