UPDATE My experience with this dealership has been a joke a nightmare. I ended up calling the bar bureau of automotive repair, they went in and talked to the manager and showed him a diagnostics that I had got on my car that had nothing to do with the ECu. The ECU unit was fine it was a cam sensor. Not only did I get charged for a misdiagnosis but the manager had the nerve to tell the bar representative that they would give me t a $200 discount on the work for the ECU unit but they had miscalculated the price and it wasn't $... read more
I did not have a good experience with the mechanical department at Capitol Kia on June 7. I took my 2025 Sorento for its first oil change, it was just something simple, but the irresponsibility of the assigned mechanic who did not tighten the screw where the oil is drained caused my car to leak oil, nearly damaging my car's engine. When I realized something was wrong, I returned to Capitol Kia, but on the way, my car's engine blew up on the freeway, all due to the irresponsibility of that dealer's mechanical department. Make sure to inquire about a 2nd key and negotiate getting the dealership to get you one for any purchase. One star for being ghosted by Enrique after the dealership got their check for my used car purchase in July 2025. He stated to call him if anything was needed, however, when I tried to reach him to inquire about a due bill (a document where the dealership documents any remaining commitments following the purchase, like a second key), he simply did not answer my telephone calls, ignored my text messages, over days.
