Stay away from this place The last time we went there, our cat had hepatic lipidosis and wasn't eating. We racked up thousands and thousands of dollars of bills leaving our cat with them overnight, only to have as assistant recommend that we put him down. Thank god we didn't, as our cat started eating a few days later and lived another 5 happy years. This was the last straw, after years of very expensive visits and never once actually speaking with a veterinarian face to face (their assistants do all the work). This place is... read more

Seems fine I've brought my dog in for routine appointments for vaccines, flea/heartworm medicine, as well as to have her checked for epilepsy. In each instance, the prices seemed fair. The reception was helpful and the doctor was knowledgeable. I did have to make an appointment; since it is a small office, it doesn't seem like walk-ins are practical. Given their location on 15th, the fact that they have parking in back is a bonus.

great staff and doctors!! I have always had a great experience w/ Capitol Hill Animal Clinic in my last 10 years being a client. The staff truly care about my pets (my children). The technicians have great education and an interesting past working with all sorts of critters (zoos, wildlife, etc.) I have 4 cats and 1 dog. I have been to 3 other vets in the area and they are way overpriced (not to mention not nearly as genuine.) I have lived all over the United States and have had pets my entire life. If you want a great staff... read more

I won't be going back I brought my cat here for an infection on her behind. My poor kitty has been suffering a lot lately and on top of it all underwent the stress of moving to a new place. I didn't know the area so found this place online. The doctor was professional enough, but the techs are an absolute nightmare. I brought my cat back to have stitches removed, and there was a large dog in the waiting room. Because my cat hissed at the dog, the tech refused to remove my cat's stitched because, and I quote, she "didn't want... read more

Incompetent and Dishonest - DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS THERE! My husband and I took our two kittens to the Capitol Hill Animal Clinic mainly because the location was convenient. When one of my kittens started to walk a little funny and his stomach was dissented, we took him to the clinic and the veterinarian technician suggested an ultrasound that would detect fluid in the abdomen. After we kept our kitty there for several tests, he became progressively miserable and vomited anything they forced fed him. The vet finally said he n... read more

A good general vet Friendly staff who genuinely care about animals, however they promote science diet food which gave me doubts about their proficiency in pet nutrition. PROS: convenient capitol hill location with parking CONS:

Great Vet For Cats My cats are 8 yrs old and they have gone to CHAC almost all of their lives. I've never once had a bad experience with the staff or with the vet. The staff truly care about animals which makes you feel like you can trust them. I had a bad experience with my cat when had a bad reaction to medication given to me by the vet. When I called the vet in a panic they told me take him back in right away so I did. It was after closing time by the time I made it in and they took care of my boy. I am now living 3000 mi... read more

Very nice clinic Capitol Hill Animal Clinic is very conveniently located. The staff is very competent and helpful, and a couple of techs thought my kitten was the cutest thing ever (that never hurts). The vet did everything she needed to do and the cost of a regular check-up and rabies vaccination was very reasonable. Highly recommended thus far.

Saved my sweet old cat I have taken my cats in to Dr. Boudreaux/Capitol Hill Animal Clinic for the past 15 years. Most recently, I had to take in my sweet old cat who has always suffered from respiratory problems and who was at death's door. Dr. Boudreaux and her staff pulled my cat through (I really thought that I was going to lose her) and I owe them a tremendous debt of gratitude. They hydrated and attended to my cat without hesitation. I cannot recommend this Vet highly enough. Incidentally, I have no more money than any... read more
