Saved my sweet old cat I have taken my cats in to Dr. Boudreaux/Capitol Hill Animal Clinic for the past 15 years. Most recently, I had to take in my sweet old cat who has always suffered from respiratory problems and who was at death's door. Dr. Boudreaux and her staff pulled my cat through (I really thought that I was going to lose her) and I owe them a tremendous debt of gratitude. They hydrated and attended to my cat without hesitation. I cannot recommend this Vet highly enough. Incidentally, I have no more money than any... read more

Biscuits goes to the Vet... I have to say that I have had great interactions with this office. They were friendly to me and warm/caring with my puppy, saw me promptly and did not overcharge me. Though I didn't spend much time with the Vet., I did feel like she listened to me and answered my questions. Their advice matches well with my cousin's, who is a Vet (I call her 1st) and they advise me of my potential costs over the phone. My dog did well in the waiting room- but I think that was only because she didn't realize that h... read more

Friendly and Helpful The staff at Capitol Hill Animal Clinic is friendly and helpful. This clinic came highly recommended, and we have not been disappointed. The waiting room is a little small, which might alarm anyone who doesn't want their pet in close proximity to others, but we've never found it to be a problem. Parking can be a difficulty in this neighborhood, however. PROS: friendly CONS: parking

Warning: Price Gougers! I think they're plenty nice, and they seem to actually like animals. But after spending nearly half a grand on our elderly (otherwise completely healthy) cat via their recommended treatments, our friends clued us in that they were gouged there as well. We got the feeling like they were prescribing more treatments just so we'd pay more. Word on the street is you'd be better served waiting in the walk-in clinic on Rainier Ave. PROS: parking, nice people CONS: overpriced, didn't feel like we could totall... read more

Failed on all front except location Rude misinformed front desk staff, over priced, and with an inattentive vet that misses obvious issues. I recently adopted a 6 month old cat from a Shelter and set up an appointment for his shots and a general check up at Capitol Hill Clinic . When i called, i explained where i'd gotten him and asked if they would honor the free vet visit he came with from the shelter. They said 'no problem.' Well, I had to pay all $175 for the visit and shots. No Discount and no apology for miss informati... read more

caring staff, high prices We have taken two of our pets the capitol hill animal clinic. Our first visit cost us about 300.00 which seemed high and it was about 150 for our 2nd visit. Both times our pets had fairly simple problems and i feel the cost was very high. However you could tell the vet really loves animals and the receptionists as well. The waiting room was comfortable and parking was decent.

If Your Rich This Place is Great! When I first came to CHAC, I had the most terrible experience with the reception/staff. (Not the actual Doctors) In particular I was BS'd about simple cat questions. All of which can be easily found on the internet and by researching. When I corrected the staff member he backed away from it and said he would be right back with the Doctor. A few years later I decide to bring my Kitten in to get a Neutering, Microchip, and final shots. First off, they thought my kitten was a girl. Ive brought ... read more

They Were Incompetent & My Cat Suffered They sent my cat home, sweating, panting, short of breath. We said, that can't be good. theys aid, we know what we're doing, take the cat home, he's fine. I woke up to a bloody trail across the carpet, put my cat in the car and took him to an emergency clinic on the way, On the way there, his crying changed to a scream that went on for a full minute or more. So extreme I almost went off the road. When I got him there, the emergency clinic said he had been sent home suffering from sympt... read more

Not highly recommended Reconsidered and don't want to be overly harsh here but this place really needs to get its act together with respect to retaining a constant staff (too many temporary veterinarians which discourages customers from returning because these doctors have no vested interest in keeping the clientele happy). Also grossly over-priced, in my opinion. Too bad because this neighborhood could really use a good, caring, competent and fairly-priced veterinary clinic (forget Broadway).
