Best Vet! – Jeanette Barns, DVM has been my Vet for almost 20 years. I am an RN and I am very partifcular about my cats' care. She has seen several of my cats during these years and she has always been caring, gentle, and very intelligent and intuitive when working with my cats. Amazing people and outstanding care. – I went to see this vet to check on my pet's teeth. I was informed that the condition of my pet's teeth was extremely neglected. I had no idea, I received a second opinion and it was concurred. Without the polite persistence from the doctor on this condition I would have never fully understood that what I was doing was not good for my pet. If you want to be ripped-off, overdosed and mislead, come here! – I came in for a second opinion since my cat's itching ears symptoms were getting worse and my first vet (I'm new to town), didn't offer solutions for what they said were allergies. Upon my visit, they cleaned my cat's ears NEVER mentioning until check out that it would be an additional $50. THEN, they attempted to blame my cat's symptoms to poor teeth! Medically fine, administratively a disaster – I have taken both of my dogs to Capitol Hill Animal Care mostly because it is close to my house. The vet, Dr. Jeannette Barnes, is caring, gentle, and really listens to the owner's concerns. The vet techs are, in my experience, knowledgeable and competent. The administrative staff, however, is truly horrendous. On our itemized receipts we end up with reminders for feline vaccines (we don't own a cat), they have never called us when they said they would (like when our dog is ready... read more
