Formerly known as Miss Lynn Diner, it was later renamed as the Capitol Diner for the erstwhile Capitol Theater that was located in the vicinity. In 1999, it was included in the National Register of Historic Places. Housed in a quaint boxcar, the diner is well known for its scrumptious breakfast menu.

Great location for a big American breakfast with great service and low price. Good meal selection to choose from combined with the 50’s diner decor made it irresistible for my son and I to come back the next day as well for another breakfast.
Love this little diner so much food was great service was even better jen and jan and the best!! And did I mention the food yummm!
The food is great I live in Peabody an saw it on the movie "That's my Boy" with Adam Sandler. So I had to try it took my kids an they loved it as well. So if you have kid's an want to go get good breakfast I suggest Capital Dinner you won't regret it.
Love this diner. My husband and I eat there at least once a week. The staff is wonderful and the food is great. Good job Bob Fennell. <3
