The owner treated us like royalty on Christmas eve! She took the time to explain the service. Food was wonderful and plentiful. We took home a box! There is a casual game area which was super for the kids after tea, with adults joining in for cards too!
My favorite tea shop in Denver. Amazing selection of teas, great food, wonderful atmosphere. If you haven't visited, give it a try this holiday season.
We were privileged to visit Capital Tea two times while visiting Denver last week. The atmosphere is wonderful - I especially loved the light fixture over the order area - the huge mural of Denver - the artist's display of paintings - and the collection of tea books. I had the ginger peach iced green tea on one visit and Italian soda on the next. Along with a macaroon and a small tart! My family members enjoyed lots of other treats too.
I had the daily special, quiche, with salad and the iced chai tea then chocolate cake for dessert. It was all wonderful and I can't wait to visit again. The staff were so kind and patient answering our questions and making great suggestions.
The peach and vanilla scones were sooo good! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the more than fifty teas they carry. We worked on a puzzle they had put out and lost track of time...
It was a very quaint little tea shop with the most amazing tea and desserts ! They have an herbal chai ☕️ that is to die for!!!I will definitely be going back the next time I am in Denver.
