It's hard to express how much we love Ms. Elaine in our house. My son came to her with a bunch of sounds missing, and she has helped him make leaps and bounds progress over the last year. But, my very favorite thing about Ms. Elaine is that she did so much to boost his confidence. Every week he left feeling 10 feet tall and just knowing that he would be able to accomplish the sound they had been practicing. I think her enthusiasm and love for him did as much to help him, and I am forever grateful.
Kristin Wallner was amazing with my 5-year-old who was struggling with her "r's". Even though she was displaying normal 5-year-old speech/language, since she had an R in her name, she was very shy about saying her name and very self-conscious about her speech. She was crying when people couldn't understand her and was conscious that she was speaking differently than others. It's hard to express in words how thankful we were for finding Elaine! My son had delayed speech and was diagnosed with an IEP in Kindergarten and received speech therapy 1x a week with the school that year. His intelligibility was around 60% for a long list of sounds and blends.
