Dr. Allison is an amazing doctor who is extremely well rounded and knowledgeable. She answers all questions even before asking! She is very caring, she listens to everything you say and will talk about your problem without making you feel uncomfortable. She is a hero in my eyes as she saved my wife's life during what was supposed to be a routine hysterectomy but turned out to be an extremely large cancer mass that turned out to be ovarian cancer. I was very disappointed with my first (and last) visit to Capital Care - Great Oaks. I showed up early to fill out paperwork and sat in the waiting room for 20 minutes past the time of my actual appointment before being called back. I discussed my health concerns with the nurse and was cut off half way through, and assured that I could discuss further concerns with Alisha when she came in. Linda Searfoss is the Nastiest N.P. I have ever encountered. She acted suspicious every time I had to come into the practice, Like I was trying to score Drugs. "Was I sure I couldn't walk? Was I doing this so I wouldn't walk and fall?" I have left in tears because she was abusive verbally. I never want to see this person again.. I should have waited until morning to see my child's normal pediatrician. Tonight, we went to the "walk-in" hours. As a mother (who pays at the time of service) if I want to have my child seen, it should go without saying that the nurse and doctor shouldn't make me feel judged. My son "only" had a virus. I was treated with judgement, lack of compassion, and rudeness by the nurse. Almost like my son wasn't actually sick enough to be seen. TOUGH lady. I paid and want him seen. We have been taking our kids here for a few years and finally have had enough. Constant issues with billing, prescriptions, and referrals. Seems the policy is "don't do anything unless we are asked more than once to do it and people get annoyed at us" As far as the Expertise is concerned, a major red flag for us was that our doctor was very confident we didn't have anything to worry about with our child's delay in speech. This place is a joke for new patients to get signed up in. My period came early and I asked to reschedule. Problem is when I needed to reschedule I had a new job starting so I asked if I could come in at 4:00p since I didn't want to be that person and take off early from work within the first weeks. They said no to 4:00p. The latest they take new patients is 3:10p. Would NOT work with me. Great place until you question certain practices! Awful place
I have had nothing but excellent and prompt care at Saratoga Gyn and Dr. Allison even left the hospital and postponed a surgery over concern for an emergency I was having at the time. Definitely not just a number there. I don't usually write reviews but after reading the only one they had, I felt compelled to share my positive experience with them.
