Capitol Insulation was excellent. They were professional, punctual and friendly. I would use them again in an instant.
Karl provided great service. He explained what he was going to do and why. He followed the recommendations made by our energy auditor. His recommendations and answers to my questions were in line with the on-line research I did on getting our house insulation improved and sealing our attics and crawlspace. He went above and beyond by making adjustments to our attic ventilator fan to have it run efficiently and in not putting a ground cover seal in our crawlspace when he later found that one had already been installed.
I appreciated Karl taking the time to explain how the R-factor is not just a matter of the thickness the blown in insulation but also how many bags of insulation were used to create that thickness over the total square footage of the job. Once I under stood the formula it was easy to understand how they ensure the right amount of insulation was applied to upgrade the existing R24 insulation up to R49. I was pleased with Captial Insulation. Their bid was competitive and they scheduled the work quickly and completed it efficiently.
The customer service and promptness was great. They broke out all the cost on a easy to read estimate. I knew what I was getting for the money. The only reason why I did not give them 5 on quality was because I did not see the completed work. I live in NY and I'm currently renting out the house until next year. I suspect the quality was great if it was anything like their Customer Service! I felt very comfortable with them along with the detailed and attention they gave me.
Karl took a significant amount of time to explain all parts of the prcoess and was very careful to make sure I understood everything. I would definitely recommend him.
