We hired Capital Home Improvement, LLC in January 2017 to replaced our roof. Right after the job was completed my Husband noticed that they workers did not even install flashing on the dormer windows. I contacted the owner about this and after he beat around the bush about it he did in fact send them out to completed it. We are now selling our home and the Inspector found that the flashing was incorrectly installed in one particular area and wanted the back side of the roofing to be inspected. I chose them because they were listed as a GAF "Master Elite Roofing Contractor", which was supposed to ensure a higher quality of installation (e.g., follow the manufacturer's installation criteria). Although I observed several failings, the primary issue was the installation on the new roofing materials over inadequately decking (i.e., broken/damaged decking and gaps in decking where the pitch of the roof changes).
