Dr. Davenport dismissed my elderly father as a patient in his hour of greatest need simply because he declined to take the COVID vaccine. He had concerns about taking a new pharmaceutical product, especially since he had pre-existing myocarditis. I went in for a cardiopulmonary stress test after experiencing shortness of breath for over two weeks. I was told that the pulmonary results were normal at the conclusion of my testing, but was hospitalized a few days later for a bunch of pulmonary embolisms. The staff did not get back to me about having my medical records sent on. Davenport is an older doctor and told me in the hospital that she did not know how to read the new medical imaging. She is a solo practitioner with a P.A. who administers testing. Avoid.
Dr. D. is extremely knowledgable and compassionate. She has been my doctor and my husband's for many years. I appreciate her no nonsense demeanor, combined w/ humor. Currently my husband is enduring a lengthy hospital stay, mostly unrelated to his heart (one "event" that she handled it quickly!) She has visited him several times and consults with his medical team concerning care and medications o make sure that aspect of his care is covered.
