CHP is not being fair to me I asked CHP if I could buy my glasses somewhere other than from them. They said yes! All I had to do was sent the receipt, and they would reimburse me. The glasses at their eyeglass center would cost me $356.00 The amount that they would pay is only $150.00 leaving me to pay $206.00 more. I could not afford to pay that much. I'd rather die... I'd rather die from lack of insurance than deal with this company again. This company made a huge error on my account- which I tried to fix EVEN THOUGH it was their error & they've done nothing to make it better- it's haunting. they are not customer friendly, they lack understanding, compassion & I'm not totally sure they grasp the concept of good business. A great insurance company if you never get sick We had a chance to choose between CHP and BC/BS. We chose CHP. Big mistake. When nobody was REALLY sick, it worked perfectly. Doctor visits, lab tests, all okay. Then cancer hit. The continuous hassle to get CHP and Moffitt Cancer Center to agree on anything makes me sicker than the chemo. CHP patient member I am 68 years old and a member of CHP. I have been denied access to medical care. I am very sick and I need care ASAP. My primary care physician does not have a way of referring me to a cardiologist, or does not want to make a referral, leaving me without badly needed care.
