Originally a 1 star review because I got an unexpected out of network bill after being assured of their in network status. Turns out it was an error due to their new facility and they corrected it two or three days after my message. That having been addressed, I really have nothing but good things to say about the practice and Dr Kirsch and would recommend seeing him.
This review is in response to billing, not the quality of medical care. I had a diagnostic procedure here which required a prior authorization about a week before. I received written confirmation from someone at Capital Digestive Care that they are in-network with my insurance. Well apparently that does not extend to the facility where they perform the procedure, District Endoscopy Center, which is under the umbrella of Capital Digestive Care, and functionally the same. Dr. Brian Kirsh is the best doctor possible. He is intelligent, a good listener, courteous, knowledgeable, and very funny. He is personable too. He is a breadth of fresh air in the status quo of assembly line health care. You wouldn’t feel like another case if you choose him as your gastroenterologist. He is also very thorough and never dismisses your concern. He has high integrity, gives his honest opinion, and never overtreats you. Waited over an hour to be seen. Didn’t even see the doctor. Will not be returning
dubious billing practices, receptionist unhelpful with scheduling. ended up looking for another option in the dmv.
