About this business

One of downtown Baton Rouge's favorites, Capital City Grill serves brunch, lunch, and dinner in a casual and friendly environment. Some of the items you may want to try are steaks, crawfish, and parmesan mashed potatoes, blackened chicken, mandarin chicken salad, and lots more. Complement your meals with a drink from the extensive bar. The desserts are homemade and offer lovely tasting experiences. For the quantities they serve, their prices are absolutely reasonable, which makes this location a bang for your buck kind of pl... read more

Although we didn't have to wait long for them to set up tables bc there was 7 of us, and the food was good...DOUBT we'll go back. For 2 people who are on disability and have trouble walking, this is NOT a place we would choose to eat bc of the location! We had to drive around a few times trying to find a place close enough to park, so we wouldn't have to walk too far. NO handicapped parking spaces close by either. It's really a shame. I enjoyed my food.

Food was good and martinis were phenomenal BUT the service just isn’t there anymore. Waitress seemed uninformed of any daily specials and wasn’t too helpful when I had questions. She didn’t seem new, just extremely unenthusiastic.

The bartender refused service because my ID was "broken" when it wasn't, she even bent it herself. I drove all the way downtown specifically to go there and was turned away smh.

We had lunch today before the parade. The food and service were good, but when I went to change my 19 month old in the bathroom, I was very disappointed to not find a changing table! Not even in the large handicap stall. This is the first restaurant I have ever been in that didn't have one.

The food was very good and the drinks were strong but the service wasn’t as good as I expected. I’ve been a server for many years and I expect a certain level of attentiveness. If the other parts of your restaurant aren’t as busy as the bar area, pull servers over to help make sure the guests in the bar are just as happy as the ones at the tables. I know the bartenders were very busy so I didn’t let it affect my normal average tip, but if we would have been attended to timely and enthusiastically it would have been above ave... read more

I had ask for water and extra napkins 3 times before I received it. I normally love their crawfish cornbread but it was a bit salty last night. Other than that it was ok the atmosphere was nice.
