Great place for the price! Dont need much when you have all of duluth and two harbors to explore. Plus the view is amazing!

Stayed here back in late May of 2012. It was mostly quiet, a great view, easy access off highway 61, and good for motorcyclists, as parking is very close to the rooms. Rates were reasonable for the time ( $70 a night off-season ) and considering its location right on the Lake. Rooms were clean and well-kept, nautical in theme. I cannot vouch for recent changes, but back then it was nice.
Stayed here a few years ago........No hot water, or pressure. Shower was just for show. Not kidding it trickled out. Small rooms, hard beds, no air ohh and the balcony pictured.....tons of spiders and cob webs. Oh did i mention there is a bar next door? Always fun to have loud drunk neighbors fighting all night on a family vacation. If i have to say one good thing is the view....lake is across the street. But as for the hotel.....save your money and sleep in your car.
