I had chicken tenders and sweet potatoe fries. The fries were good but the chicken tenders were just so-so. The breeding had no flavor or seasoning. Very bland. We were there to watch Thursday night football and were seated in the very back covered patio area of the bar. Although there were a lot of people back there, and there were ceiling heaters, it was still cold. I left my winter jacket on the whole time.
If you're looking for that "Cheers" type atmosphere, this is the place for you. I was visiting a friend in Denver for the weekend and we stopped by to catch a Husker game (this bar transforms into a Husker bar on Saturdays in the fall). I did not try the food, which is why I didn't give this place a 5; however, the service was great, drinks were spot on and the staff/patrons were very friendly/welcoming. I would recommend this bar to anyone looking for a laid back atmosphere.
Not a bad place but at times it can be a bit hard to get the bartender's attention
Recommended by a friend that we watch the Huskers play here. It was great food, service and atmosphere. Would come back if ever in the area again. Go Big Red��
We went to celebrate our daughter's 23rd birthday. We had a blast and the food was amazing! Highly recommend going to Cap City Tavern!
Wall to Wall VIKINGS FANS cheering on the team, great food and good service even with it sooo packed. It is simply the best place to watch the Vikings games. Me being a recent transplant from Minneapolis, I felt happy to be amongst the other Vikings fans.
I came here yesterday for a Vikings game with friends. Ordered a truffle mushroom burger to go and loved it. I ate it in the outside seating area. Fries were perfect as well. Staff was very friendly and the crowd was cool. Made me feel like I was home in Minnesota again even though I'm a steelers fan. Reserved seating is preferred if you want a table.
