The scallops were divine! But the portion wasn't large so order a starter.
The staff and food are phenomenal. Bartender Jack Degnars was accommodating and makes a very good Spring Water. The day was totally rainy...but we moved from outside to inside and had such a great time!
This was a great restaurant in a beautiful town. The bartender was excellent and very attentive. We will definitely return and stay at the bed and breakfast.
Poor service and management

It is upsetting to read your (along with others) comments because we truly care and strive to please each guest. At Cantwell... read more
Went for brunch with my cousin today and the food was very tasty. We started with House Made Cinnamon Rolls and coffee, and the coffee was excellent. Eggs Chesapeake (crab cake benedict) and Big Breakfast, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Loved the historic building and will definitely be going back.
What a disappointing first time visit. Service was below average and 2 of the 10 in our party received Reubens (on special for St. Patrick’s Day) which left much to be desired (no sauerkraut, the most roast beefy corned beef). To resolve the issue, they had their plates removed and offered a chance to browse the menu for an alternative, 15 minutes after everyone finally received their entree. The waitress seemed too busy elsewhere in the restaurant to tend to our party with any timeliness. I feel especially awful writing thi... read more
