Best dining experience! – I am not usually somone who writes on these kind of sites, but my experience at Cantina 1511 was so amazing I could not resist. I went there this Saturday evening and and had the time of my life. I went with about three other girlfriends for dinner. Our service was excellent, they were constantly filling our drinks and chips. Worst Dining Experience I have ever had---Horrible Owner and Manager – I went to Cantina 1511 on East Blvd. here in Charlotte on Saturday night and have to say it was the worst dining experience I have had in my 27 years on this lovely earth. I was with a party with 6 other ladies and we had a reservation for 6pm. We sat around 6:20pm which they said was fine because we were still waiting for a couple of people. Bad Management !!!! – I went to this restaurant last night for the first time with a group of 6 people. We had a reservation for 6, but unfortunately, a couple of people were running late. The manager was extremely rude, and wanted to know where they were, and when we last talked to them. He then told us that we needed to be done and out of our table at 8. Stonecrest location is solid – I was impressed with the staff's menu and drink knowledge. Portions are generous and fresh. A female manager was visible interacting with guests and employees, and seemed very friendly. I would certainly recommend this restaurant.

Great "American" Mexican – Very good guacamole- excellent in fact! I've been to Mexico many many times and they have the Baja style down. I think they have very good food but would not exactly call them traditional other than you get the salsa's and the same sounding meals..taco, burrito... They are though very pricey and the drinks are even more expensive (awesome martini's but watch out or a couple drinks are then way more than your food bill x 3 at least) I always go to the East location and have had pretty good experienc... read more

upscale mexican; unbeatable atmosphere – This place is a sure winner every time....hoppin every night. Show up early on a Wednesday, they are sure to have a wait after 7:00pm. GREAT atmosphere, food, and staff. Very highly recommend!

Try it! – I've been on numerous occasions and have yet to be disappointed. Great place for big groups.. fun for drinks or for dinner. Can get very crowded on the weekends. Make a reservation.

Go for the drinks avoid the food – Great drinks, good service although a bit enthusiastic for my taste. Food was a major disappointment. It was overpriced and had an uncanny resemblance to Chi-Chi's. If you are looking for frozen tasting entrees cooked in a microwave "smothered" with tasteless cheese this is the place for you. The table side preparation of the guacamole is a bit gimmicky but a nice option since it may be the only fresh ingredients in the restaurant.

Awesome all the way around! (Stonecrest) – This place is awesome! Excellent, professional service @ the Stonecrest location. The food is always fresh and very tasty. I've tried several things from the menu and have not yet been disappointed. And the other reviewers are right, do not miss the guacamole!
