Extremely poor experience. Waited nearly 3 hours with an open wound and received no basic care — no cleaning, no vital signs check, nothing. Left to seek treatment elsewhere. Unacceptable and unsafe. Would not recommend.
Extremely frustrating experience. The Emergency Department had a long wait time, which was annoying, but the care there was mostly okay. However, everything went down with my next day surgery experience. I went to their Day Surgery Unit, as instructed by the Emergency Doctor previously. Cathy from the front desk there was incredibly rude. She had a very offensive tone, sighed repeatedly and spoke condescendingly. Currently my mum is in this hospital, the nurses some are good, but half of them are not doing the job carefully. Just try to do in a shortcut. The Doctors like juniors are nicer, the senior and middle aged ones looks like not friendly and cold. Especially facing the to multicultural background not very good at English patients and families, no patience and did not invite an interpreter as they said even in very serious meetings. Try to transfer to another one ASAP
The nurses in Emegency dept are very kind. Wait time just takes forever
I’ve been in twice this week so far with a son with a shoulder dislocation and another son was bitten by a red back spider the care, efficiency of all the staff have been amazing. God bless you all at the Canterbury hospital emergency department. You’re all amazing.
