Our trip to Ravinia Park to see Carrie Underwood on Sunday, August 30th couldn't have been better! The motor coach was ready to leave at 2:30 pm. Getting to Ravinia early is critical because the early guests get the best lawn seats. I couldn't believe how packed the parking lot was. Then there she was live on stage. . The gates opened at 5:00 pm and we were there at 5 minutes to 5:00, ready to find our perfect spot on the lawn. The weather was a beautiful 79 degrees. It was a get away from it all day. There was plenty of time to explore the park before the concert started at 7:00 pm. The candles were lit, the wine was poured and the night began! Do you enjoy gourmet items and good food, then please join Canterbury's "Cooks Tour" next year. We visited several upscale stores--Fox & Obel, lWhole Foods, and the Spice Market. Also we dined at the Kendall Culinary School and had a delicious lunch prepared by the student. So, save the date, bring your coolers and prepare to have a wonderful culinary adventure!!!!
What a terrific day!. Saturday was our"annual" family outing day. We have seen some fabulous theatre with Cantebury. And this year was no different. Mary Poppins was such a surprise! It was a genuine delight for young and "not so" young. The performance is charming and delightful. It evens offers some "how did they do that?" moments. Cantebury makes the day so relaxing. This was the best show and trip ever! Dave and Janet are a pleasure to work with and they went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect! My grandson and nieces all loved the show-they said it was the best show ever. We can't wait to book another tour with Cantebury and I know it will be as wonderful as this was.
Several of us from work decided to take an afternoon to see "Dirty Dancing" at the Cadillac Theater in Chicago. I contacted Canterbury Tours and signed us up. We had a delightful time, excellent seats at the theater and were assisted in finding the best restaurants to dine at. The bus trip was so much better than trying to drive and park ourselves. We will definately schedule another one of these fun theater trips.
Canterbury gets highly skilled and personable drivers to take their guests in and out of Chicago for a variety of events. I have attended several--including my trip yesterday to Jersey Boys. Jersey Boys was outstanding and I have played my CD all day today--but every trip has been terrific due to the efforts of Dave and his staff! I would highly recommend Canterbury Tours and Jersey Boys and can't wait for the "Dirty Dancing" trip!
This was my second tour with Canterbury Books, and it was as wonderful as I had hoped. My husband and I met our daughter at the drop off point (she lives in Indiana), did some sightseeing, went to the show, enjoyed dinner at Petterinos after the show and all in all had the most wonderful time ! We are "HOOKED" on Canterbury Tours. Everything goes so smoothly - no stress - just total enjoyment of the day! We are already plaanning our next trip. Thanks Canterbury for making trips to Chicago so enjoyable!

Between my trip to Jersey Boys and the tour last week to Chicago for the Culinery Lover's Tour.,,,, I can't wait for my next adventure!!!
