We went to the restaurant with great expectations. We were totally disappointed. 5 out of 6 steaks were overdone. Salmon was over overcooked. The only thing they offered us... was sorry would you like a dessert. When I pay 170.00 dollars for a dinner I have an expectation of perfection and I something is wrong I expect something more than sorry. I would never return or recommend this restaurant. The waitress actually told us it was a good night to order steaks because the good chef was cooking that night..........
Such nice people & the calamari is to die for It's a must visit to the lakes region !

We just left The Canoe after waiting for 20 minutes with no service. The room was full with customers and 1 waiter and 1 waitress walked by us numerous times. One even telling us she'd be with us in a minute. And still nothing. This is the 2nd time in the past few months where we have received terrible service at this place. It's summer...you would think they would be properly staffed. We are locals and it's it's disappointing that we have to eliminate this place all together.
