While I think the Counseling side of things is good, be cautious when you go to them for housing/job counseling because these people don't give a damn about you. They will leave you stranded for weeks, if not months, and make false promises before doing the absolute bare minimum. You might wanna get the ball rolling and dig yourself out of your situation but they wanna drag it out and make as much money as possible. A family member of mine has been involved with this "organization " for several years. I have never witnessed such a lack of compassion and incompetence.
CMHA SERVICES OF NIAGARA have helped me immensely; they're always there to lend an ear and have patience, compassion, understanding and great ideas for coping with life's stressors; I highly recommend them if you ever need help and someone understanding ♥️ thank you CMHA!
Update: Manager Is Fixing The Issue, May Update Rating Wasn't given help. I attended the safe beds program in St Catharines during a crisis which is operated by CMHA. They literally said by the end of it "we don't know how to help you" if you need a place to stay then great, but as far as using it for it's intended purpose which is mental health care, it was yet another battle with combative staff and most of the therapy "sessions" are arguments or them taking notes while you talk and not saying much.
