I was here with my brother Martin from 1988-1991. I was in cottage 4 & 5. I love when we had the Olympics, and I love the bike track. Staff members I remember was Ms. Dina, Bruce & Wanda, Stan Todd Campfield, Amy. I remember the station wagons they had to take us to Melrose & Vine Elementary schools.
I live there from 96 to22 I have so many good memories from there I wish I could get in contact with any kids a staff that where there at that time !
As far as group homes go, the Acton house was the best place I lived during my childhood, in the early to mid nineties, as a ward of the state of California. It was run more like a foster home by the Campfield Family and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Campfield, their nephew Brent Campfield and his childhood friend and a sweet elderly couple by the names of Sam and Anita. Good Christian folks. I spent years here from 97- 99 would love to hear from anyone else. They let me work in the maintenence as a kid and that was alot. The computer lab just got hooked up next to the cafeteria and I was in unit 6🤣 great place. I met Kove Bryant here in an event they held!! Love ya hollygrove!!🥰
Would love to see and hug Mrs Toni & Eric, I will always love and remember them my long lost family if anyone could help that would be great. I left my info with receptionist. This place was amazing under the circumstances I was there for.
