Today I was supposed to recieve an upper GI under sedation! There were many things wrong with this plan. It began with being over an hour late in starting! The doctor kept disappearing ( he also does this during office appointments) But today topped it all! Instead of waiting for the miniscule amount of medication to take effect....they started ( and ended) the procedure with me completely awake....and in quite a lot of pain! Both from my gut, and from tubes Down my throat scraping, gagging
I have seen dr Azar for 4 yrs and wont see another dr. He helped my son when no other dr could find what was wrong with him. Dr. Azar is very unconventional and takes getting used to but he trully cares about his paitients.
Dr. Azar performed my colonoscopy at St. Mary Corwin’s GI Lab today. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I had put off having it done for 13 years because of an unpleasant experience during my first one back in North Carolina. Dr. Azar, and the staff at the GI Lab were wonderful! I recommend to anyone putting it off, go to Dr. Azar. You will find a warm, caring, and very experienced physician. The staff was friendly and professional. I received the very best care and I am grateful.
Preliminary appt. was VERY brief and the doctor talked more than he listened. After procedure , didn't here a word from him. Another doctor visited with my wife about results while I was still sedated. He never scheduled a follow up appointment either. Just said if there was a problem he would let me know. Not good enough. I actually did have irritation in my stomach tissue, just not cancer. I would still have liked to talk about it. Nurse wasn't helpful either when I later called office
My Wife was a patient of Dr. Azar. When she was admitted into the Hospital. He would not come to see her. I called him 8 times in four days to talk t o him bout her treatment and medication -- he would not call me back - - When we went to his office he gave me a phone number to call. While she was in the hospital I called that number but he still refused to return my calls. A few weeks later My wife passed away waiting for him to come and see her or talking to me about her situation
While an Inpatient at St Mary Corwin for Gi issues I was seen by Dr Azar several times. I had several procedures done Inpatient. I was supposed to see the Dr a few weeks after release to go over the procedures, results, and begin treatment. When the time came to see the Dr after release the front office staff was very rude and refused to see me. Due to having a balance at the hospital (but not this doctor) they would not see me for my followup un
