I have been a professional photographer for over 44 years and the best advice I can give a photographer is to find a camera store that has good new and used equipment and a knowledgeable staff to help you buy the photo equipment that you need not always what you want. I personally managed a camera store like Cameraworks from 1980-1984 in Amarillo, Texas, and I have a lot of respect in the way they do business. I have only been in the store twice but each time I have walked away very satisfied with my purchases.
Alan and Ross are examples of what customer service should be. Unfortunately, this kind of service is not found very often, even in specialty stores like Cameraworks. Ross spent nearly an hour with my wife, providing information that increased her level of photography more than any seminar or class she has attended. Alan, the owner of the store, is a wealth of information and very personable. Kudos for providing lines of products for higher level photographers. Kudos to all of you.
