I had a seriously good experience yesterday when I traded my Leica camera equipment for a new Nikon set-up at Camera West. Tom (Britcha) started helping me on the phone Saturday and then in-person on Monday afternoon. The trade-in was good (which was surprising) and the help I received from Tom and Nick was first class. Similarly, the price of my new gear was equivalent to online (less in some cases) - but the help and shopping local was WELL WORTH IT! By very far my best experience buying a camera. All the staff was very nice and helpful. They let me try the camera first and were not pushy and just wanted to make sure I had what I needed. Kudos to Tom!
I have an inexpensive camera that I use for work and dropped it, causing the shutter to no longer close. I brought it to Camera West to see if it could be repaired or replaced. I met with Nick, he went above and beyond to repair it. I could not have received better service. Nick was amazing. I will certainly go back when it's time to upgrade my camera.

Terrible Customer Service! I called to ask a simple question and the man Al who answered seemed to have had a lifelong rivalry with me that could only be overcome by giving me passive aggressive remarks and snarky comebacks. Great job, you lost my money.
