RecommendedI had spent close to $1000 at a prior vet on 2 animals with medical issues only to resort to come here and have issues finally resolved. Dr. Shepherd may be an older vet but, he is able to get things taken care of without having to go elsewhere and spend tons of money.
I wouldn’t go anywhere else..... these people are all true animal lovers and very knowledgeable!
Took Sam the cat for a dental. Thought this was going to cost a fortune because Sam is an older rescue who lived outdoors after being abandoned by someone. Anyway, dental was done while Sam was under mild sedation. Cost was very reasonable and Sam's breath no longer smells like - well, bad. This is not the fanciest office, but the Dr. Shepard is wonderful. He really loves animals - you can tell by way he handles them. Not all vets are like that.
A huge thank you to Camelot Veterinary Services for taking care of Brizzie today. Brizzie cut his paw pad really bad on something in the river. Dr. Shepard answered the phone when we called because our regular vet couldn't see us today even though they were open.... He not only fit us in, he also did surgery on him to repair it. Dr. Shepard was so kind and caring. I can not say enough about him and his staff. Looks like we found a new Vet.
Dr. Shepard got my little Charlie girl back to her old self after being sick for days. After going to Cheat Lake for emergency care, they would not help her a few days later, even though I reported blood in her stool. Dr. Shepard took her immediately and found the blockages in her little digestive tract! I’m so thankful for him and his staff!

Dr Sheperd is the best Vet in Fayette and surrounding areas ultimate hands down to him and his staff...He is so amazing with my babies everytime we take them there and the staff is also beyond friendly. Thank you so much Doc for all you have done for my boys.
Bad experience #1 - My cat had a urinary blockage and had about 18 hours to live. Dr Shepard held my cat until we were able to get approved for Care Credit and prepay the $1500 estimate for the procedure. As soon as the card ran through they took him back and started his IV. One month later it happened again so I took him to Cheat Lake - I called ahead and as soon as I got there, they took him from me, swooped him to the back and started his IV and started prepping him to ...Continue Reading
