We waited for a long time for the appointment, but unfortunately the experience was not satisfactory. The doctor did not take a proper medical history or ask detailed questions about the patient’s condition, and the consultation felt very rushed. I did not feel comfortable here, I felt in danger. This was my first appointment and I had communicated on the phone with the nurse that I would not like a Pap smear. I was then pressured by two nurses to have my Pap smear the day I came in for my check up. Then when I was brought to the exam room, I was additionally pressured by the doctor. Incredible staff!
I used the service for cervical and breast cancer screening. Many patients are immigrants who cannot speak English, and I am one of them. Although I was told over the phone that an interpreter could not be called, during the actual consultation, the interpreter was able to call in. However, I believe this places a significant burden on the staff and affects waiting times.
