Food was delicious and the service was amazing. Definitely worth a stop for the pancit and the fried banana rolls!

Camalig Filipino Cuisine is a true hidden gem! My wife and I pass by this place next to the Salinas DMV all the time and finally decided to stop in. It’s hard to find something other than Mexican food open after 2 PM in Salinas, so we gave Filipino food a try for the first time. From the moment we walked in, Lorenzo took care of us. What a character! Since it was our first time, he gave us samples of the fried chicken, soy chicken, and a spicy jalapeño soup, explaining every dish in detail. Delicious food and dessert! Lorenzo is so kind and funny… can’t wait to come back!
Bottom line: I haven’t had food like this since my grandmother passed. It’s cash only but they have an atm. Service is fast, food is piping hot. The rice is just right, pinakbet is perfectly cooked.
