Dr. Callander was my (49M) surgeon for left-side BHR hip resurfacing surgery on August 7, 2024. He and his team did an outstanding job, They did the surgery in the morning and I was back on my feet and walking (with crutches) by the early afternoon. Their anesthesia team was great, I was out cold for the procedure. Dr. Callander performed two total knee replacements on me this year, one in January and one in November. Dr. Callander and his team are a well oiled machine: preop, day of surgery, and follow up postop appointments, have all been of the highest quality. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Callander and his team!!
I had several surgeries with Dr. Callander of the last ten years!! I have both hips and both knees replaced by him. The surgeries all went well and the staff at his office was outstanding. My last knee was replaced in October and I am working out again!! Dr Callander is very knowledgeable and has a wonderful sense of humor. I highly recommend him if you need knee or hip surgery!

Left hip was afflicted with severe osteoarthritis, which resulted in impaired mobility and intermittent severe pain. Dr. Callander performed a total replacement a few months ago, which vastly improved my quality of life. The pain is gone and mobility is much improved. I'm grateful to Dr. Callander. He's not only an excellent surgeon, he's a personable man with a good sense of humor. Strongly recommended.
In 2013 Dr Callander performed a posterior total right hip replacement. I was back to work in 3 weeks. In August 2024 I went back for an anterior total left hip replacement. Not a single complication - Dr Callander’s reassuring manner and my confidence from the prior experience made this a ready decision and fast recovery. At 7 weeks post-op, everything feels completely normal!
Dr. Callander is exceptional. He is knowledgeable and highly skilled and is always focused on the patient’s quality of life. I’ve been a patient for 12-plus years and trust him implicitly!
