I usually don’t post personal information in reviews but my treatment at The California Rehabilitation Institute was extraordinary. I suffered a severe fall that fractured my shoulder and a small fracture in my neck. I was in Ronald Reagan UCLA hospital for around five days and was transferred to the Rehabilitation Center for ten days. A family member recovered from a major spinal surgery on floor #2, and I can’t say enough good things about the staff and the facilities. Every doctor, RN, PT, OT, Aid, housekeeper, and security team member was a total professional who greeted us with a smile and so much kindness. The rooms are sunny and spacious with large windows. When you press the call button someone comes quickly. The therapists were a ray of sunshine with positive dispositions and fantastic skills. This place is HORRIBLE. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE. They starved my husband despite our constantly begging for food. He lost 6 lbs there in 10 days. They did not rehab him. Neglected his care completely. No hair shampooed in 10 days, no shaving. HORRIFIC. They did not give him his sleep meds nor his PAD meds bc no doctor for 5 days despite constantly fighting for a single call from a doctir or nurse. Absolutely fantastic place. I worked on rehab with Andrew many times and he so kind and patient. I was on the 6th floor. Would it be ok if I sent him a thank you card? I don't remember his last name but had dark curly hair. Thank you.
