I saw some horrific incidents of discrimination at CCA when I attended. Students were repeatedly failed at the whims of certain instructors, undeservedly, and it was not addressed by the admin. Often there were non-White students or people with disabilities. Many of them left the school and have gone on to work at companies and schools like Google, CMU, Blizzard, Slack, and the like, so it clearly wasn't a reflection of their abilities. Recommended35 years ago it was “Arts and Crafts" the Craft was what I thought I needed. Slowly I was pulled more towards the Arts including the Liberal Arts. I’m still working in Design finding solutions using my hands trying the new mixed with traditional techniques. 35 years ago the 🖥 Mac came out. The world has changed and me with it. CCA(C) put that in me.
