Food was good. I had the Egg Plate with bacon and a side of toast. My only complaint was the table had remnants from the previous patron. Definitely worth a 2nd try...
It was super busy when we arrived to grab breakfast but the young woman in charge worked through the line with grace and extreme efficiency. Our food arrived quickly and was very tasty. The woman who took our order was amazing to watch as she cleaned tables, greeted and visited with new comers and regulars alike, and instinctively knew our needs before we even had to ask. Our family makes an annual trek to Carlsbad for a week to escape the Phoenix heat. This is our favorite place to eat in Carlsbad. Casual outdoor dining with great food in a beautiful area. What could be better?

We go to Carlsbad every year and we always eat at Cafe Elysa! It is a charming outdoor cafe w wonderful pastries and suburb food! The service is quick and the setting is great!

Just plain nice people, serving lovely mochas, breakfasts and such. You gotta try when in Carlsbad. A feel good place, for a bite, a breeze and a smile.
