Brilliant (and hot) day out. Drove from L.A. and met friends from Las Vegas - great journey and well sign posted. Loads of really interesting things to see and do but nothing is overly expensive. We rode the train, explored the mine and panned for gold as well as hammering our own leather keyrings. There were also sweetes, ice creams and chats with the friendly sherrif! Great day out - we were there 5 hours!!
Beautiful place nice way to get some walking. Very unexpensive place with friendly staff. My kids had a lot of fun. Afterwards we had a nice picnic at the campground it was just so peaceful and beautiful.
RecommendedMy last visit was more than 50 years ago and I had fond memories. As we drove past on our way to Vegas, we made a plan to stop on the way home. What fun to find the bottle building restored so sweetly. And the Mystery House! Just as remembered including the patter.

People who give this a low rating clearly don't understand why you go here. Loved this place I went there when I was a kid and now I was able to bring my own family.

We had a wonderful time at Calico Ghost town! I had my son and three nephews who were extremely interested in the history of the town. We got to walk down into the gold mine, ride the train, go into the mystery house (which was absolutely amazing) and then panned for gold! They had ice cream and lots of cool shops! Nothing was over priced!!
