The alcohol was good the chicken and tri tip was ok..and the wedding beans but the Mac n cheese was wack! And a screaming kid next to us, maybe it was just that night.. I'd go back but my husband said.. not impressed! I also thought the food was cold.
By far the best BBQ in San Diego. The rib ends, brisket, and tri tip are to die for. I recommend pairing the brisket with the Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Stout.
Great place to eat. Great atmosphere. Good brew and place to watch sports.

I recently moved to Jacksonville, FL and I'm missing Cali Comfort like crazy. The BBQ in this town sucks! I always got the best quality meat, prepared with the utmost care, and in really generous portions at Cali Comfort. Not to mention really friendly service.
I'm usually disappointed when I go to the latest and greatest bbq, but that's not the case today. I've been hearing a lot of good things about Cali Comfort and I gave in to see for myself. WOW! Was I happy I did! I tried the combo meats platter so I could try all of my favorites. The ribs were superb, the chicken was fantastic, but what really swept me off my feet was the brisket. I'm not much on using adjectives, but the meat literally melts in your mouth. Absolutely the best brisket ever!
It use to be better. They use to have such great staff. They go through so much employee's and that not cool for us being regulars. Rob makes awesome Michalada's. My husband and I were there yesterday and the rib eye wasn't that good this time. No flavor what so ever. Should of stuck with the amazing brisket. Shape up Cali. Nicky Rotten's has a 5 Star rating with me right now.
Cali Comfort is the only place I always feel like iam family, not only they have excellent food but they always make me laugh and just have a good time,
Customer service 100% I'd go back for another event.
